“Trap Metal is still a mystery. I don’t know what it is? It’s still an enigmatic idea! Everybody who knows me is well aware that I’m a Triplet F*ndam*ntalist. I departed my relationship with PC Music a million years ago. I consider myself an Idealist Producer, some people are inspired by music and sounds, I’m inspired by concepts, it could be the concept of Trap Metal or the concept of Triplet F*ndam*ntalism. I haven’t listened to music in 2 years. This EP was an exercise of Absolute Non-attachment, to discover concepts, self-eliminating concepts. I make every sound from scratch, I don’t do this to show off ‘I’m an elite sound designer,’ I do this as an ontological statement. Some people associate sound design with creating, why not associate it with discovery? For me, everything is already given, the saw wave, sine wave, noise, the only givens. I only expand within those givens. Since I don’t listen to music, I have no idea how music sounds today. Sometimes I get $ATSUKI Dejavu, 2014 AG Cook, Errorsmith, Foodman, footwork, Early X, Haruko Tajima, I used to remember them clearly many years ago, now they seem so distant. I only remember less than 0.01%. Hyperpop? What is that? Back in my day all we had was the given...”
